What Wisdom Sows
by Ameen Rihani (1876–1940)
The Owl overheard the Nightingale Singing to the Rose, And ever since, he's mute and pale, Meandering over hell and dale Where're the love-wind blows. He cannot sleep He cannot even reap, In the field of night, what wisdom sows.
