Epigram on the Children of Israel's Passage Out of Egypt
by Anonymous
When Egypt's king God's chosen tribes pursued, In crystal walls th' admiring waters stood: When thro' the desert wild they took their way, The rocks relented, and pour'd forth a sea. What limits can Almighty goodness know, Since seas can harden, and since rocks can flow.
