LIONEL to CLARISSA
by Anonymous
Sweet Clarissa of the green, Lovely as the Cyprian queen, Ever blooming, young, and gay, Charming as the fragrant May.
Young Lionel's constant care Thou art sure my charming fair; All his joys in thee rebound, All his bliss in thee is found.
Then to church let us be gone, There unite both hearts in one; So Clarissa do not stay, But to church let's haste away.
