The Sailor's Return

Listen in the reader

On Columbia's blest shore, We're landed once more, Secure from the storms of the main; For great Washington and his cause, For our country and laws, We have conquer'd, and will do again.

Where the Sun's orient ray First opens the day, On America's extended domain, All our foreign foes, Who dar'd to oppose, We have conquer'd, and will do again.

Come my brave hearts of oak, Let us drink, sing, and joke, While here on the shore we remain; When our country demands, With hearts and with hands, We are ready to CONQUER AGAIN.
