English poem
Xviii
by Clinton Scollard (1860–1932)
From Gloucester cliffs and brown Nantucket dunes The mountains lured you, and the mountain star; For us the Woodland sang its lyric runes Where’er we followed it, or near or far, In sun or shadow cool, Or loitered through long languorous afternoons By Dian’s darkling pool.
