PSAL. CXXI A Song of Degrees

by (1663–1728)

Listen in the reader

I To the hills lift up mine eyes, from whence shall come mine aid. Mine help doth from Jehovah come, which heaven and earth hath made. He will not let thy foot be mov'd nor slumber that thee keeps. Lo he that keepeth Israel, he slumbreth not nor sleeps.

The Lord thy keeper is, the Lord thy shade on thy right hand. Lest sun by day, or moon by night should thee by stroke offend. The Lord will keep them from all ill, thy soul he keeps alway: Thy going out and coming in the Lord keeps now and aye.
