1Taki no oto wa Taete hisashiku 1Narinuredo Na koso nagarete Nao kikoe kere. his waterfall’s melodious voice 1Was famed both far and near; Although it long has ceased to flow, 1Yet still with memory’s ear 1Its gentle splash I hear.
