Poem
by Henry Cornelius Agrippa (1486–1535)
Pragmatick Schoolmen, men made up of pride, And rayling Arguments, who truth deride, And corn all ele but what your elves devie, And think thee high-learned Tracts to be but lies, Do not preume, unles with hallowed hand To touch thee books who with the world hall tand; They are indeed myterious, rare and rich, And far trancend the ordinary pitch.
