Tenth PART. JOD

by (1815–1882)

Listen in the reader

Thy Hands have made, and strengthen'd me; Skill, thy Commands to learn, afford. Who fear Thee me shall see with Joy; Because I've hoped in thy Word. Thy Judgments, Lord, I know are just: In Faithfulness thou chasten'st me. I pray thy promis'd Kindness may, Thy Servant's future Comfort, be. Shew me thy Grace, that I may live: For in thy Law, Delight I find. Shame proud ones who me causeless harm: Thy Precepts I will bear in mind. Let them, that fear Thee, turn to me: And those thy Testimonies know. Sound in thy Statutes make my Heart; That Shame may not me overthrow.
