English poem
On an upright stone in St. Andrew's Church-yard
by John Brand (1743–1808)
"In all our marriage vows, she did fulfill And fondly sought her husband, thro' the dead o'er Bunker's Hill; At many actions more, and at the Brandy-wine, She lov'd her husband so, she would not stay behind Till now by cruel Death's dread dart, She is left behind and forc'd to part Till the last trump, when Gabriel sounds amain She'll rise embrace and join again.
