1Hototogisu Nakitsuru kata wo 1Nagamureba Tada ariake no Tsuki zo nokoreru. he cuckoo’s echo dies away, 1And lo! the branch is bare; I only see the morning moon, 1Whose light is fading there 1Before the daylight’s glare.
