English poem
Xxvi
by Vítězslav Hálek (1835–1874)
Tell wherein thou hast sinned, my heart; My God, such tribulation! That what forever should be joined Must live in separation.
How beautiful the life would be In love without distressing! But to forever yearn and live-- Where is therein a blessing?
