Terms of use
Last updated: 22 October 2026.
Accounts and Versos Plus are not open yet. Sections marked "(when accounts open)" describe how they will work once they do; until then nothing can be bought.
Versos is a web app for learning a language through poetry. Reading and listening are free; Versos Plus is an optional paid subscription. These terms cover both.
These terms are available in Spanish and English; you may conclude the contract in either. In case of conflict for consumers resident in Spain, the Spanish version prevails.
Service provider
Versos is operated by DSL4 Digital, S.L.U., NIF B93958742, registered at Calle Armiño 6, BB P2 12, Arona, S/C Tenerife, 38632. Mercantile Registry of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Section 8, Sheet 78183, entry 1/2026/7004. Contact: [email protected], telephone +34 650 576 361.
The free service
The free service is offered as available: we work to keep it running well, but free features, voices and poems may change, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. Translations and glosses are learning aids, not certified translations, and the audio is AI-generated and may contain mistakes. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights or our liability for damage caused by our own breach, fraud or negligence.
Content & intellectual property
The poems in Versos are, to the best of our verification, in the public domain in their source jurisdictions. The audio recordings are AI-generated readings created for Versos; the app's code, design, translations, and glosses belong to their respective authors and licensors. You're welcome to use everything here for personal study and enjoyment. If you believe any work is included in error, write to us and we'll review it promptly (see credits & sources for the takedown contact).
Fair use of the service
Don't abuse the audio-rendering service (e.g. automated bulk requests) — it's rate-limited precisely so it can stay free for everyone. Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse the service's protections.
Your data
An account is optional. Without one, your study progress stays on your device; with one, we sync it so you can carry on on another device, and you can download or delete it at any time. Accounts are for people aged 14 and over. The server also keeps anonymous daily usage totals and any feedback you choose to send; what that means, and for how long, is described in the privacy page.
Versos Plus: paid plans (when accounts open)
Versos is free to read and listen to. Versos Plus is an optional paid subscription sold by DSL4 Digital, S.L.U. It gives access to premium readings, translations read aloud, tutor lessons and the other features listed on the Plus page, within the limits shown there for each plan: Lector (€2.99 a month or €29 a year), Plus (€6.99 a month or €69 a year) and Maestro (€12.99 a month or €129 a year).
Price and billing
Prices are shown in euros. Prices include applicable taxes (VAT, or IGIC in the Canary Islands). Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel. The exact amount and renewal date are shown before you pay and on every invoice. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.
Launch offer and referrals
The launch offer (founding price) and the referral programme have their own conditions, set out in the promotion terms.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your Account page ("Manage or cancel subscription"), as easily as you subscribed. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; you keep access until then and are not charged again. There is no minimum term beyond the current period and no cancellation fee. Yearly plans are not refunded pro rata on cancellation.
Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you have 14 days from the start of a subscription to withdraw without giving a reason. Because Versos Plus is digital content supplied immediately, at checkout we ask you to request immediate access and to acknowledge that you then lose this right. The box you tick reads:
"I ask Versos to start my subscription immediately, before the 14-day withdrawal period ends, and I acknowledge that once it starts I lose my right to withdraw from this contract. I can still cancel at any time from my Account page and keep access until the end of the paid period."
If you do not tick that box you cannot subscribe.
Your legal guarantee
Versos Plus must be as described. If it is not, you have the rights in Spanish consumer law (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007, arts 115 bis ff.): to have it brought into conformity, to a price reduction, or to end the contract. Nothing in these terms limits those rights or our liability for damage caused by our own breach, fraud or negligence. Translations, glosses and AI-generated audio are learning aids and may contain mistakes; that is their nature, not a defect.
Changes to Plus
We may add, change or remove features. If a change reduces what your plan gives you in more than a minor way we will tell you by email at least 30 days before, and you may end the subscription free of charge before the change takes effect. We may change prices only with the same notice; the new price applies from your next renewal and you may cancel before it.
Who may subscribe
You must be at least 18, or 14 or older with the permission of a parent or guardian.
Changes to these terms
We will post changes here with the date, and for changes that affect paid plans we will email you 30 days in advance. Continued use does not by itself mean acceptance of a change that reduces your rights; you may always cancel before it applies.
Disputes
DSL4 Digital, S.L.U. does not currently adhere to any alternative dispute resolution body. Consumers resident in Spain may bring claims before the courts of their own domicile; Spanish law applies without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
