Heav'n, Lord, is thy Exalted Throne, Whence thine Omniscient Eyes Survey And Supervise the Universe, Which is Subjected to thy Sway.

Thy Manutenency to all, Created beings doth Extend, Thy Manuduction also Guides, Each Individual to its End.

Thy Works declare thy Deity, Thine Attributes are not Conceal'd, Though nothing speaks thy Name so Plain As it is by thy Word Reveal'd.

For thine Flecting Love to Men, And thy Dear Purchas'd Saving Grace, Through Christ I Cannot understand Unless thy Written Word I trace.

What Glorious Rayes of Light and Truth, I View, which from thy Records shine, Whereby my Eyes have strength to look With fixed sight on things Divine.

But how Sublime of Godliness, The Mysteries, O! how Stupend The Truths which I Believe from thence? But Angels cannot Comprehend.

What Creature, Lord, shall ever Scan By search to all Eternity; That Paradox of THREE in ONE, Or that of ONE in TRINITY?

Or how the Glorious SON OF GOD With Man by Hypostatick tye; Do but one Person Constitute? Created thoughts Soar not so high.

But lest thy Wisdom I Offend In Touching Mysteries conceal'd, Or by my Darkness Darken more, Some Sacred Truths less plain Reveal'd.

I'll be Consin'd to things I know In which thy Praise I'll Celebrate, I will Rehearse thy Boundless Grace, To me in my Forlorn Estate.

I will with Thankfulness Record, Thy Love to me a Sinful wight, In that thou from the Darkest Depths Hast brought my Soul into the Light.
